FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is a UAE free zone company legal?+

Yes. It's a legal entity registered under UAE law, with its own certificate of incorporation and business license. It can open bank accounts, sign contracts and hold assets. Owning a company abroad is legal almost everywhere — what matters is your home country's tax residency rules.

What documents do I need?+

A valid passport (6 months minimum), a passport-size photo, and a UAE entry or visit visa for your biometrics appointment. No business plan, financial statements or proof of capital required.

Who can't set up a company, or which activities aren't allowed?+

We can't process politically exposed persons or some nationalities. Alcohol, gambling, adult content, weapons and pork products aren't permitted. Regulated activities (finance, crypto, healthcare, real estate, media, gold) need a special license. Our AI agent checks your eligibility before any payment.

Are there hidden fees?+

No. Package prices include government fees, free zone charges and our service fees. The only extra costs are bank fees, optional add-ons, and annual renewal — all communicated upfront.

Is renewal mandatory, and what does it cost?+

Yes. Your license (with the e-channel and the establishment card) must be renewed, and paid, every year: it is a UAE government requirement. Your residence visa itself is valid for 2 years. We notify you ahead of the date and handle the process; your renewal cost depends on your package.

What if I change my mind after paying?+

Once your file is submitted, government fees are non-refundable — a UAE-wide rule, not specific to us. That's why we offer a free 30-minute call before any payment, to confirm the solution fits you.

What about taxes in my home country?+

It depends on your tax residency — rules like French CFC rules may still apply if you remain a resident there. A UAE company is a business solution, not a tax solution on its own; speak to an international tax advisor.

Does a UAE company pay tax in the UAE?+

9% corporate tax above AED 375,000 profit, 0% below. No personal income tax. VAT is 5%, mandatory above AED 375,000 of UAE taxable supplies — services billed to foreign clients generally fall outside UAE VAT.
