1. Who we are

setup971 ("we", "us", "our") operates the website setup971.com (the "Site"), including its contact form and AI chat assistant. We provide information and consulting services about setting up a company in the United Arab Emirates. You can contact us at setup971@pm.me.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, nationality, a description of your project, your preferred language and timeline, and anything else you write in the contact form, in the chat or in messages to us.
Chat assistant: messages you type in the chat are processed to generate replies (see section 5). We do not keep full chat transcripts. We keep the contact details you give us, a short summary of your needs written from the conversation, and questions the assistant could not answer.
Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, language, pages requested, and date and time, collected automatically in server logs for security and operation.
Browser storage: the chat uses your browser's session storage to keep a conversation going during your visit. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, except on one page: the thank-you page shown after our contact form (setup971.com/merci/) loads the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which sets an advertising cookie and sends your visit and conversion to Meta, so we can measure and improve our advertising campaigns. No other page on the Site uses advertising or analytics cookies.

Please do not send passports, ID numbers, payment or bank details, or passwords through the Site or the chat. If documents are needed later, we will tell you how to share them securely.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to: respond to and follow up your enquiries and provide the information or services you request; assess whether and how we can assist you; operate, secure and improve the Site and the chat assistant; communicate with you about your request; and comply with legal obligations and protect our rights. We do not send marketing messages without your consent where consent is required.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection laws require a legal basis (for example in the EEA and the UK), we rely on: your consent; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Site and answering enquiries; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. AI chat assistant

The chat assistant is automated and uses a third-party AI service provider. Your messages are sent to that provider to produce replies. Replies are for general information only, may contain errors, and are not legal, tax or financial advice. Please do not share sensitive information in the chat.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only: with service providers that help us operate the Site (such as hosting, email, messaging and AI services) under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations; when you decide to proceed, with the government, free zone, banking or other authorities and partners needed to process your request; when required by law or legal process, or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, sale or reorganisation of our business.

7. International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including countries whose data protection laws differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. We then delete or anonymise it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, the UAE, Canada, Australia, or California and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Residents of California and other US states may also request details of the information we hold about them; we do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise your rights, email setup971@pm.me. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party services and links

The Site loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts, which means Google may receive your IP address, and it links to services such as Telegram and Facebook. Their own privacy policies apply. On the thank-you page only (setup971.com/merci/), the Meta Pixel shares your visit with Meta Platforms, Inc. for advertising measurement; see Meta's Privacy Policy and its ad preferences to control this. We do not otherwise track you across other websites.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version; changes take effect when posted on the Site.
